We offer therapy groups for all ages. Below you will find a list of the groups we are currently offering. We add new groups frequently. Please contact us for a list of upcoming groups.
Preteen Positive-Peer Connection Group
Rolling enrollment. Specific group depends on age. We have Preteen Positive-Peer Connection groups for ages 3-12. Groups offer much needed positive, in-person social interaction after pandemic. Groups teach healthy coping, social skills, effective communication, & allow for good old-fashioned venting! Facilitators use an Eclectic approach (art, expressive, CBT, & other evidence-based & creative modalities) to increase coping, peer connection, self-regulation, & emotional expression. Please contact seanchavez@animating-principle.com for current availability and to enroll. Groups will be temporarily held at our original Animating Principle location until construction is complete at our second location, AP’s Workshop (estimated completion Jan 2023).
Child Art Therapy Group
We offer a variety of art therapy groups and classes for children of all ages. Topics include: creating coping tools (kids especially love our tactile activities like creating their own sensory calming bottle), healthy emotional expression through art, seasonal-themed art group classes, and more! We are currently offering in-person art groups at our original Animating Principle location in Montrose while our second location, AP’sWorkshop is under construction (completion expected Jan 2023). Teen Positive-Peer Connection Group
Rolling enrollment. Specific group depends on age. We have Teen Positive-Peer Connection groups for ages 13-19. Groups offer much needed positive, in-person social interaction after pandemic. Groups address common teen issues & teach healthy coping & effective communication. This group allows for good old-fashioned venting!
